The way I paint is totally linked to the emotions I feel at that precise moment.  I try to isolate myself from my surroundings and that’s where music comes into play.  Music also gives me a lot of emotions which I tap into, especially feelings of melancholy and aloneness. 

 

Painting feels like inventing a new world with new shapes and colours – surely a way of fleeing reality. One of my favourite musicians is Max Richter.  His music completely takes me away into a different world where nothing resembles our world.  Like most artists, I try to communicate my emotions to the people who walk into the gallery…
